How to play Flappy Chicken

Flappy Chicken is a free tap-to-fly arcade game that runs right in your browser. Guide a very nervous chicken through a busy kitchen, slip between hanging frying pans and hot stoves, and try not to get roasted. No download, no sign-up, and it keeps working offline.

Controls

• Phone or tablet: tap anywhere on the game to flap.
• Computer: click, or press Space, W or the up arrow.
• Pause: the pause button, or P / Esc. The game also pauses when you switch tabs.

Obstacles

Hanging pans

Frying pans hang from the ceiling on metal pipes. Hitting the pan or the pipe gets you pan-fried.

Hot stoves

Stoves rise from the floor with a live flame on top. The flame counts, so give it some room or you get roasted.

The floor

Stop flapping and gravity wins. Keep a steady rhythm of small taps instead of big panicked ones.

Corn and chickens

Corn cobs float in and between the gaps. Grab them to unlock new breeds:

• White Leghorn: free, the classic. The classic. Nervous, but classic.
• Rhode Island Red: 150 corn. Toasty brown. Comes pre-seasoned.
• Ayam Cemani: 300 corn. Black as burnt toast. Very mysterious.
• Speckled Sussex: 450 corn. Freckles for days. Spots the danger.
• Lavender Orpington: 650 corn. Soft, fluffy and extremely fancy.
• Golden Buff: 1200 corn. Worth its weight in corn. Shiny!

• RAW at 10 points
• MEDIUM at 25 points
• WELL-DONE at 50 points
• GOLDEN DRUMSTICK at 100 points

Tips

• Tap early and lightly. The chicken rises fast and falls faster.
• Aim for the middle of each gap, not the edges. When the chicken starts sweating, you are too close.
• The game speeds up a little at 25, 50 and 100 points.
• Corn is never worth a roasting. Skip the risky ones.
